What face data do you collect, and why?
We capture camera frames only during liveness verification to confirm you’re a real person. From this we compute a non-reversible face embedding and a liveness result.
- Raw photos/videos are not stored after processing.
- Used solely for liveness + one-to-one re-authentication (same user, same account).
- Not used for ads, tracking, or unrelated analytics.
- We don’t collect iris data.
Do you share face data with third parties?
No. We do not sell, rent, or share face data or embeddings with third parties.
- Processing is handled by our own services; no third-party face vendors.
- Data never leaves our control and is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How long do you retain face data? How can I delete it?
Raw frames are discarded immediately after liveness processing.
Embedding and liveness outcomes are kept for 90 days to support re-auth and fraud prevention, then auto-deleted. After 90 days CKKS encrypted embeddings are used for our process.
You can request instant deletion anytime in Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account or via support@mercle.xyz
Do you track me across other apps or websites?
No. We do not use tracking technologies for cross-app or cross-site tracking, and we do not use face data for advertising or profiling.
- App Privacy disclosure: Biometric (face) for app functionality/fraud prevention only.
- No third-party ad SDKs; no data brokers.
Why do I need to connect my wallet? Can you move my funds?
Connecting your wallet lets us credit rewards to you and confirm ownership for your account—nothing else. The connection is strictly non-custodial and read-only: we see your public address and the on-chain activity that is already public, we never ask for or store your seed phrase or private keys, and we cannot move funds. Any signature you see is explicit (e.g., a login nonce to prove it’s you); there’s no hidden or value-moving transaction. You can disconnect anytime by deleting your account in Settings. We don’t use wallet connections to build profiles about other people or to track you across apps.
